Guns N' Roses is one of the most recognisable rock bands in music history. Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, the American band became famous for its powerful combination of hard rock, heavy metal, blues and punk influences. The classic lineup included Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler.

The band's breakthrough came with their 1987 debut album, Appetite for Destruction. At first, the album struggled to attract a large audience, but songs such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child o' Mine” and “Paradise City” soon turned Guns N' Roses into international rock stars. The album eventually sold more than 30 million copies worldwide.

Their success continued with G N' R Lies and the ambitious Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, released in 1991. These albums produced memorable songs including “November Rain,” “Don't Cry” and “You Could Be Mine.”

Although the band experienced years of lineup changes and internal conflicts, Guns N' Roses continued making music and performing worldwide. Slash and Duff McKagan returned in 2016, bringing renewed excitement to longtime fans.

With more than 100 million records estimated to have been sold worldwide and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Guns N' Roses remains a powerful name in rock music.
